A most enjoyable and thought-provoking conversation and so good to hear you even more energised than ever, John! Re the ‘lay’ word: I’ve become almost hypersensitive to it since hearing you declare its unsuitability, at our parish retreat earlier this year, and yes surely we are all professional followers of Jesus. However the Vatican/Synod hasn’t latched on yet, perhaps have a word while you’re in the neighbourhood.
