1000

Mar 20, 2014

Food For Faith quietly celebrated a significant milestone earlier this week with the 1000th posting.

Five years ago the Food For Faith blog began as a two week Holy Land pilgrimage diary. At the end of the pilgrimage I spent a couple of months on sabbatical and continued to update the blog. A number of people commented that they found it helpful, and things grew from there.

Last year it became clear that the blog had outgrown its blog framework and that a more substantial website was needed. Thanks to Jason McTague’s IT expertise and support, the move to www.foodforfaith.org.nz  has been relatively easy and effective.

Apart from the Twitter (twitter.com/johnchch) and Facebook Food For Faith presence, we have made no effort to advertise the site. Word of mouth is our best promoter.

If you have found the website helpful, you can support us by liking us at

. I am sure that most of the thousands of homilies and talks focussing on the Assumption will recall only on Mary’s yes to God, the Annunciation.  These homilies may be very good. But they miss the point of Mary assumed body and soul into heaven. So, why do we...
