Late yesterday as I was planning the week, I heard that Charlie Preece of the Chatham Islands had died. Within an hour I was booked on today’s flight to the Chathams for the funeral. I will be here until Friday.
In our parishes we have two other funerals this week. Bett Draper was buried today from St. Joseph’s Darfield. Tomorrow, Paula Wilson will be buried from Our Lady of Victories.
Please keep Paula, Bett and Charlie in your prayer, as we pray also for their families and friends who grieve.
May they rest in peace.
