disarming beauty

Jul 20, 2017

Too often we see Christian faith presented as and reduced to moralistic and legalistic adherence to cultural norms and moral ideals. However our experience of life with Jesus is that of an encounter with something, no someONE much more, a relationship with the divine who satisfies all human desire and gives meaning to the life of “all people of goodwill” (to use the invitation of the angels at the birth of Jesus).

I have been savouring Julian Carron’s book for the past couple of months, reading many parts over and over again.

This interview from the New York Encounter earlier in the year gives a helpful introduction to the text.
