men’s retreat day

In response to requests I am offering retreat day for men on Saturday 24 February 2018.

Most men have never had the opportunity for or an invitation to this kind of reflection day. Here is your invitation and now is your opportunity.

You may be at Mass regularly, or you may not have been near the sacraments for many years. No problem. This day is for all of us.

Perhaps you have felt distant from the church and from God for many months or many years. This day is for you.

Many who read this will live in other parts of the country or the world, too far away to attend, but you might know men who live near Christchurch and might appreciate the invitation. Please pass this on to them.

Many women will read this and think that it might be helpful for the men you know to have this opportunity. Please pass on the invitation, perhaps with some encouragement, to them.

Some of the men who have requested this day are young men actively seeking more from God than they find on Sundays in parishes. This day is for you.

I guarantee that you will return home from the day more at peace with God and with yourself.
