and sat under my verandah noticing the clouds bringing gentle rain

if I like to be asked, then perhaps God likes to be asked as well?

It was the opening of today’s gospel that prompted me to seek signs 

we can open ourselves to a bigger and cosmic perspective

Christianity is not a collection of truths to be believed, of rules to be followed

to go beyond banality, beyond arrogance, beyond things learned from books

without a clear discerned decision we fall into following whatever or whomever seems attractive

Lent as a time of disciplined giving-up is well embedded in the Catholic psyche

we humans are crafted to reach fulfilment, happiness, authenticity and integrity

Lent as a season of growth and an invitation to go deeper
