picture of the week

Apr 1, 2012

Some weeks ago it was reported that the Ria Bancroft Tabernacle doors from the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament had gone missing from storage.  They had been removed from the Cathedral when the salvage team moved in to take the Cathedral treasures to safe keeping.

These doors were one of the most powerful images in the Cathedral. The sculpture is especially significant for this Holy Week.  You might like to use it as a Holy Week ‘screen-saver’ as I am.

It was only tonight (some weeks after the fact) that I learned that these doors have been found and are now in even safer keeping.

Thanks be to God!
