retreat ends

Apr 15, 2012

Thank you for your prayers during my retreat. It was a very good experience; a vacation with the ultimate friend: Jesus.

It was a privilege to be on retreat for the Easter Octave, when the scriptures of the Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours is so explicitly focussed on the resurrection of Jesus as the heart of our faith and of all existence.

The retreat days gave the opportunity to focus without interruption on the reality of this event.

I remembered many people in my prayer especially during these days, especially parishioners of the North Canterbury parishes and the Chatham Islands, and all readers of this blog.

Such wise people have reflected on their life experience enough to know that while a peaceful and perfect day is welcome, we are most connected with others and therefore with God (we could also say most connected with God and therefore with others), when we live a struggle together.
