I discovered an app that will make sure I get a text message or an email as soon as white smoke goes up. Just remember that there is a chance that the news will come through in the middle of a New Zealand night!
Fr. Robert Barron (who was with us in Christchurch in 2011) is in Rome for the conclave and is updating his Word on Fire website frequently.
And most of all, let’s make sure that all the inevitable and understandable speculation doesn’t take us away from:
praying insistently to the Lord
that after his great gift of Pope Benedict XVI,
he will once again give us a Pastor
according to his own heart,
a Pastor who will guide us to knowledge of Christ,
to his love and to true joy.
