illumination

Dec 9, 2015

Over the last few hours in Rome, Pope Francis has opened the Holy Door at St. Peter’s Basilica marking the opening of this Jubilee of Mercy.

Just a couple of hours ago, in the evening after the daytime Mass and opening of the Holy Door, those gathered in St. Peter’s square witnessed a spectacular light show entitled “Illuminating our Common Home.” You can watch much of it below beginning about eight minutes into the “Rome Reports” clip.
