a Lenten treat

Mar 16, 2016

I had the chance a couple of weeks ago to see the new movie Risen.

I wasn’t expecting too much and queued for my ticket guessing that this would be another tragic crucifixion story ending with a rising sun across a lake to hint (and nothing more) at a possible resurrection of the one hailed by a few as (nothing more than) a wise moral leader.

The movie exceeded all my expectations. It is a robust theologically and scripturally.

Don’t miss it. It opens in NZ cinemas tomorrow, Thursday 17 March.
