exams

Jul 16, 2016

It has been a week since my last Food For Faith update. I am entering the final stage of my studies here at the Liturgical Institute (Mundelein, Chicago) and today is the first day of “comps” – the final comprehensive exams of the degree. There are six of us in the group. Please pray for us.

Over the past few years I have been privileged to take 20 classes on all aspects of faith life, especially as these relate to the Liturgy of the Church; classes on scripture, sacramental theology, art and architecture, aesthetics, Liturgy of the Hours, devotions, inculturation, marriage & Orders, Sacraments of Initiation, the Liturgical Movement, contemporary liturgical challenges, the Liturgical calendar, development of liturgical texts, music and liturgy…they are just a few off the top of my head. In today’s exam we will write on five of the topics and next week in an hour-long oral exam we are examined on the other 15.

I will tell the others in our group that you are praying for us!

Thank You!
