I have a few days holiday in Italy before beginning vacation with around 300 frlends this weekend, then the following week at the Annual Rimini meeting. More on these events over the next couple of weeks..

As I travel north from Rome I have a couple of nights in Assisi. This morning I visited a favourite place, the Hermitage of St. Francis, about 4km up a winding road above the town. There is a sculpture there that had a powerful effect on me when I first saw it some years ago. This morning it inspired a reflection that I want to share with you. Excuse the poor quality – an amateur enthusiast doing his best!
