preparation

One of the arms of the Food For Faith mission is the weekly Homily Studio, a half hour podcast in which three or four people reflect on the scriptures of the upcoming Sunday.

The Homily Studio podcasts (available also on all podcasting platforms – Apple, Spotify Podbean etc)  began four years ago as a support for preachers who were open to hearing reflections from a wide range of people living fully in the world with family and work responsibilities, people of faith who have an essential contribution to make to our deeper appreciation of Christ speaking to us through the scriptures and the liturgy of the church.

Now after more than two hundred episodes the Homily Studio podcasts has been especially welcomed by the people of the Church who like to prepare for a Sunday liturgy, and also take time following Sunday to come to a deeper appreciation of the significance of the scriptures and the liturgy.

Click on the link below to listen to this week’s Pentecost conversation in which I chat with Laurel, Colin & Rory, and sign up to receive these reflections each week.

  1. Nice soft ‘relaunch’ of the Homily Studio. Although the original aim and intended audience may have changed, I agree the value is there in engaging people with scripture and with life.
