praying for peace

Jun 9, 2014

A powerful Pentecost image of peace (Pentecost Sunday evening Rome time) when, at the invitation of Pope Francis, the Palestinian and Israeli presidents met in the Vatican. Each leader met separately with the pope for a few minutes before warmly greeting each other, and boarding a shuttle together taking them into the Vatican gardens for a time of “prayer and music.”

  1. Though conspiracy theories pall,
    still God’s prophets are on the ball;
    Things aint what they seem to be.
    We cvarry on as best we can,
    grappling with the fall of man,
    but things aint what they seem to be

    Our history’s undermined
    with mysteries cruel and kind
    but the protagonists are showdown-aligned.
    We have our minor parts to play
    and our desserts are on their way.
    But soon how things really are we’ll see
    cos things aint what they seem to be
