on the journey
Today’s palm branch procession, and reading of the passion of Jesus signals our move into Holy Week.
It is helpful to see these days before Easter as a week of retreat. While we continue our family and work routines, our focus is guided beyond.
In these days let us look together to Jesus.
“Joy is the hallmark of the Christian.” Joining in saying the Joyful Mysteries in the unity that the podcast allows, helped me to focus on that wonderful concept of Joy. I had recently watched some anti-Christian postings that were disturbing but the response to revile and actual arrest for the display of the bible was one that was joyful. Joy acted like a miracle. My dismay and anger evaporated. Joining in the 4th mystery of this podcast then drew me deeper into the notion of Joy that Simeon and Anna experienced. That was a revelation for me – after all the years I have passed the beads over that decade. . “Surprised by Joy”! A wonder indeed.
