Join Cushla O’Connor, Jenny Dawson & Catherine Gibbs in conversation with John O’Connor reflecting on the scriptures for the First Sunday of Advent.

Read the scriptures for this Sunday at this link.

Catherine suggests use of the Advent Calendar. Here are a couple she recommends – one with a Catholic Social Justice theme at this link and a create-your-own Advent Calendar at this link.

Jenny quotes from Jean-Pierre de Caussade  writing about ‘the sacrament of the present moment’ in Abandonment to Divine Providence. And Jenny adds a reference to Scott Erickson’s study Honest Advent which may be useful to include as it has very challenging drawings.
