Lourdes pilgrimage

Feb 9, 2013

After reading the parish newsletter reflection for this week, Peter Fleming sent a few photos from our Our Lady of Victories Parish (Sockburn) pilgrimage in 2009.  I will upload the newsletter piece (apart from the newsletter and with relevant youtube clips) for Monday, the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, and World Day of Prayer for the Sick.

Early one morning at Lourdes, we arranged to be at the grotto for the early morning Mass. When I arrived in the sacristy there were half a dozen priests. The sacristan asked which of us would like to celebrate the Mass. I was the one to offer, and so had the privilege of celebrating Mass in this holy shrine.
