may they rest in peace

Feb 9, 2013

I invite you to join with me this weekend in praying for the happy repose of the souls of my parents who died three and four years ago this weekend. Evelyn O’Connor, 1938 – 10 February 2009, and Con O’Connor, 1935 – 9 February 2010.

In Jesus Christ “the hope of blessed resurrection has dawned,
that those saddened by the certainty of dying
might be consoled by the promise of immortality to come.
Indeed for your faithful, Lord,
life is changed not ended,
and, when this earthly dwelling turns to dust,
an eternal dwelling is made ready for them in heaven.
