  2. Absolutely right! And his point can be extrapolated to elderly care too – I’m chaplain in a Catholic resthome in Belgium, and I have colleagues who offer a childish version of the faith to residents. But this sells the residents short. They need something with ‘meat’ on it, just as children do, if they’re to be able to carry the burdens and temptations of old age (need I mention that euthanasia is legal in Belgium… an Easter bunny God can’t save you from that level of doubt and pressure)
