priests together

Sep 4, 2018

Next week 180 diocesan priests from the six dioceses of New Zealand will gather in Christchurch for the fourth national assembly of diocesan priests.

These national assemblies are held every five years and previous gatherings have been held in Blenheim and Rotorua. This year’s choice of Christchurch is a gesture of the NZ church to support the priests and people of the Christchurch diocese as we continue to rebuild after the earthquakes.

The theme for this assembly is “Being a priest today in an unprecedented time of change”.

You can read further details of the assembly in a recent NZ Catholic article.

Please keep us in your prayer.

We priests hope you will come and join us for Mass on the three assembly days. Bring your families and friends. We look forward to praying with you.
