cafe gatherings

.

There are a number of branches to the Food For Faith mission including regular reflections (daily during Lent and Advent), Homily Studio and Lectio Divina. The latest initiative has brought a surprisingly inspiring and engaged response, the Cafe Gatherings.

Until now these could only happen when the one taking an initiative sent me details which I added to the daily Lent or Advent posts.

From today a new page enables FFF followers and others to initiate a gathering any time any place – and all who subscribe to CAFE GATHERINGS on the subscription page at this link will receive an email letting you know whenever a new gathering has been initiated.

You’ll notice a new button on the www.foodforfaith.org.nz homepage…

Simply visit that page and provide the details. Then (whenever there is a change on the page), once a day at around 3.00pm, an email will be sent to everyone who has subscribed to CAFE GATHERINGS on the SIGN UP page (also accessible from the www.foodforfaith.org.nz).

I think it will work!

Visit the SIGN UP page at this link and check the CAFE GATHERINGS box. Note if you have already subscribed to EVERY BLOG POST you will automatically be added.

Now you might initiate a gathering – and then turn up at the cafe at the appointed day and time to see who else has arrived.

If you are there first take a serviette, write FFF and place this in the middle of the table so that others can find you.

And the agenda? I have encouraged people simply to chat about their experience of God in recent days / weeks and that simple prompt has been enough.

And if you think of it you might send a pic of your gathering and let me know how it goes.

Also if you live in Ashburton and have a friend living in Lower Hutt let them know when there is a gathering they might like to be a part of in the Hutt.

I look forward to hearing from you.

In Christ
