  1. Thanks everyone. Yes at a recent funeral the grief stricken widowed wife turned to us and asked that question as to whether she or his first wife would be with him forever in heaven. She seem to have grasped that we’d have our bodies but missed the point that God is everything and all and in the end questions like that will not matter any longer. Let’s keep encouraging those we encounter to enter more deeply into this great mystery of what happens when we die, with hope filled minds and hearts.

A couple of thousand years ago, a young Jewish woman was going about her normal morning routines, perhaps with a mixture of house and garden work, chatting with parents and neighbours, aware of the local drought, the sickness of a neighbour and annoyed by the neighbourhood’s lack of sleep caused by the Romans’ noisy party the night before, when God broke into her routine and entered her life in a new and powerful way.
