ice cream, camel and temptation

May 8, 2012

Today we left Tiberius and the Galilee region heading back to Jerusalem via Jericho and Bethany.

The day began as a good day would – with an ice-cream stop

The city of Jericho is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. There we found a camel looking for riders

time for a group photo at the foot of the Mount of Temptation

and a cable-car journey up the Mount of Temptation

On the cable-car journey we passed the sixth century Greek Orthodox monastery

and caves were pre sixth-century hermits lived in the side of the mountain
