human experience

Oct 11, 2014

Last night I received an email from a mutual friend of Monsignor Lorenzo Albacete:

Monsignor Albacete has had a lung failure and his condition is extremely grave. Please pray for him.

Lorenzo has been a significant influence in my life. I am deeply grateful to him and invite you to join me in prayer for him in his hours of need.

As we pray for him I know he would be happy to know that because of him a few of us were engaging with human reality together seeking to live abundantly. In 2010 a significant movie was produced featuring a commentary from Lorenzo. The Human Experience is…

The story of a band of brothers who travel the world in search of the answers to the burning questions: Who am I? Who are we? Why do we search for meaning? Their journey brings them into the middle of the lives of the homeless on the streets of New York City, the orphans and disabled children of Peru, and the abandoned lepers in the forests of Ghana, Africa. What the young men discover changes them forever. Through one on one interviews and real life encounters, the brothers are awakened to the beauty of the human person and the resilience of the human spirit.  imbd.com
